We are very pleased to invite scientists, practitioners and policy-makers interested in relations between socioeconomic and ecological components of urban systems to attend The 3rd World Conference of the Society for Urban Ecology 2020.

After the succesfull previous conferences in Berlin (2013) and in Shanghai (2016) we meet on 6 to 8 July 2020 in Poznań, green and health-oriented city, with one of the highest quality of life indexes in Poland.

The conference programme covers a wide range of topics related to urban ecological aspects and social components interdependencies in cities.

The leading concept of the SURE2020 conference in Poznań is to provide the welcoming forum for scholars, experts and business and administration professionals to present their research and discuss the ideas, concepts, experiences and different points of view.

As organizers we will do our best to make the conference affordable for participants from all different parts of the World.

For SURE you can expect a very stimulating, fruitful and enjoyable time.

Call for session and workshop proposals

Call for Session proposals

Sessions provide the platform to discuss interesting topics of conference. The proposed sessions can take traditional forms with 4-5 talks concluding with an in-depth discussion of a specific topics. The available time is 1,5 hour.

The session proposals should refer to the Conference Topics.

The session organizers/chairs are requested to prepare the general concept of the session (200 – 300 words), to invite speakers for their sessions, and to ensure that the registered speakers will submit abstracts before the deadline.

Call for workshop proposals

Work­shops are in­ter­ac­tive ses­sions that re­quire the ac­tive cooperation of par­tic­i­pants. It should be the time to elaborate ideas for new research projects, for building concepts of new publications, as well as for dissemination and co-creation of new approaches in urban ecology as the field of research and implementation.

The workshop organizers/facilitators are requested to prepare the scenario of the workshop, including a description of objectives and expected outcomes (200 - 300 words).

The available time is 1,5 hour, however, in justified cases the Conference Organizers can extend the time to 3 hours.
